sympathy poem

some one complained to the master
i saw with open eyes
i burn no incense
when i was a boy at college
in your flight
i saw the archangels in my apple-tree last night
a bird sang
i can not tell you now
brother, i am fire
do not turn your head
a look is but a ray
the body may confine
stay no more
