concrete poetry

all quiet along the potomac
and so it goes
to what shall a woman liken her beloved
glooms of the live-oaks
for then without
muffled drum's sad roll has beat
green afternoon serene and bright
stay no more
night is dark, and the winter winds
i've won the race
