death poetry

over the rooftops race the shadows of clouds
there was never a sound beside the wood but one
in his guarded tent
once this soft turf
as a white candle
at midnight
give me
have you heard
now for a brisk and cheerful fight
as it
some of the hurts you have cured
night was black and drear
