poem for pastors

once this soft turf
eighty years have passed, and more
he'd even have his joke
this ancient silver bowl of mine
mysterious night
evidenced in the glimmer in your eyes
i love to steal awhile away
i stood
they in the darkness gather and ask
let a joy keep you
