wedding poem

all down the years
stern cold man
the long resounding marble corridors
sadly speaking
long has the summer sunlight shone
beautiful, tragical faces
somewhere i read a strange, old, rusty tale
stir
up and down he goes
out of the deep and the dark
by the rude bridge
he speaks not well
