thank you poem

i fill this cup
earth travails
i go my way complacently
sun and wind and beat of sea
i stood by the open casement
the hypocritic days
so lost
we who stood
give me hunger
uplifting, as the wind blew
thoughts through my head
my sorrow, when she's here with me
it was the autumn of the year
