marriage poem

the meadow was creeping
up and down he goes
behold me, in my chiffon, gauze and tinsel
that year
when i looked into your eyes
have you not heard
and with the humming bird
but alas, just dreams
gone before us
in an old chamber softly lit
be not false
sweet with fern and rose
