short funny poem

along a river-side
and how could you dream of meeting
braided and woven
they in the darkness gather and ask
have you heard
the ancient songs
i am singing to you
arched the flood
when the hours of day are numbered
they threw a stone, you threw a stone
evidenced in the glimmer in your eyes
