birthday poem

i reside at table mountain
hang no wreath
simply speaking
the sun is up
love has been sung a thousand ways
under the harvest moon
you are beautiful and faded
bring me soft song
once this soft turf
roses and gold
he'd even have his joke
he came and took me by the hand
with the meek, brown eyes
