slam poetry

you say you love me
on and on
the dawn was apple-green
what shall we do now
therefore i may not
high walls and huge
i heard the wind all day
under dusky laurel leaf
have you seen walking through the village
i burn no incense
beneath my window in a city street
within my hand i hold
softly weeping
