epic poetry

all down the years
i loved a woman
like him whose spirit in the blaze of noon
in mournful numbers
at dawn, he said
now that i have cooled to you
there is a country full of wine
she has a clear, wind-sheltered loveliness
in your flight
in may
grieve not for the invisible
