free love poetry

death's nobility again
i made a vow once, one only
the long resounding marble corridors
love has been sung a thousand ways
when sea-winds pierced our solitudes
beautiful, tragical faces
i wonder where you live
muffled drum's sad roll has beat
my mother taught me that every night
lived by the river-side
i think it just splendid
i stood by the open casement
in his guarded tent
out of the deep and the dark
