prose poetry

they ask me where i've been
good woman
he's gone
death's nobility again
the darkness rolls upward
a thousand silent years ago
the long resounding marble corridors
the arches of the red bridge
have you seen walking through the village
to be able to see every side of every question
i stood
fat black bucks in a wine-barrel room
