nature poem

daughters of time
one by one, like leaves from a tree
i hold your heart
they threw a stone, you threw a stone
did you ever see an alligator
beautiful, tragical faces
the swan existing
god
simply speaking
glooms of the live-oaks
dear wife
one sweetly solemn thought
