thanksgiving poem

i do not pray for peace
when i was a boy at college
in an old chamber softly lit
behold me, in my chiffon, gauze and tinsel
we were not many
do you hear the rain?
renew the vision of delight
the fragrance came
braided and woven
for truth, for love
the meadow was creeping
