acrostic poem

you are clear
those on the top say they know you, earth-they are liars
as a white candle
a thin gray shadow on the edge of thought
braided and woven
to some the fat gods
i gazed upon the glorious sky
babylon-where i go dreaming
the sun is up
i've won the race
by the shore, by the sea
