thank you poem

how like the stars are these white, nameless faces
the arches of the red bridge
night is dark, and the winter winds
and how could you dream of meeting
our pleasant moments fly
the snow whispers about me
see i give myself to you
brief on a flying night
lady, your heart has turned to dust
all down the years
i have had one fear in my life
do not turn your head
world that changes under my hand
but i cannot read you now
