baby shower poem

star-dust and vaporous light
i stood by the open casement
old wine to drink
do i like it
softly now the light of day
brother, i am fire
the light withdrawn
noises that strive to tear
with joy and wonder
there were three in the meadow by the brook
when freedom from her mountain height
tell me
the sky
