grandmother poem

from floor to ceiling
quietly, with reverance, in awe
often is it not so?
though i am little as all little things
risen from the dead
green afternoon serene and bright
stay no more
i am singing to you
in his guarded tent
the poets tell
the sun is up
a few more windy days
