son poem

i loved a woman
i gazed upon the glorious sky
there is an hour of peaceful rest
full of tears
there are gains for all our losses
a very remarkable history this is
through the broad earth's aching breast
have you seen walking through the village
let a joy keep you
i wonder where you live
to come so soon to this imagined dark
