father poem

this is the arsenal
the meadow was creeping
softly now the light of day
did you ever hear of
she was a beauty in the days
pushing out, struggling vainly
a little peach in the orchard grew
let a joy keep you
the poets tell
in september
the sky
wrap the earth in cloudy weather
