friendship poem

no prey am i of poor thoughts
you say you love me
sweet splendor
all down the years
this ancient silver bowl of mine
i've won the race
stir
the little pitiful, worn, laughing faces
brief on a flying night
the light withdrawn
the air is full of dawn and spring
