Vera Maye Bagett passed away on March 2 at Mesa Manor Care Center in Grand Junction. She was 91. Vera Maye was born on Feb. 15, 1917, in Searcy, Ark., to Rose and Andrew Jackson West. The family moved to Lamar, where Vera spent her early childhood and they later relocated to Carbondale.
