friendship poetry

i have come into the desert because my soul is athirst
my mother taught me that every night
why do
love has been sung a thousand ways
did you ever see an alligator
mysterious night
often i think of the beautiful town
therefore i may not
my mother twines me roses wet with dew
there's one that i once loved so much
melancholy days have come
i bid them all farewell
it is true that you say the gods are more use to you than fairies
