grandma poem

along a river-side
to some the fat gods
along the banks
truely
sun and wind and beat of sea
awful truths these be
when i was broke in london
this ancient silver bowl of mine
looking beyond
like eagles on up high
the sun is up
god
the poets tell
when, full of warm and eager love
