father poem

day is done
friend, whose smile has come to be
earth travails
mysterious night
looking beyond
i am dying
as a naked man i go
hang no wreath
i make my shroud, but no one knows
let me be sad
high-born race
there's one that i once loved so much
a sky that has never known sun, moon or stars
