prose poetry

i saw the clouds among the hills
weak-winged is song
a pen of steel
i am singing to you
good woman
not from the whole wide world
desolate and lone
made up of loveliness alone
eighty years have passed, and more
the child who threw away leaf after leaf
have we no shame?
i stand in the cold gray weather
