african american poetry

softly weeping
a life on the ocean wave
once this soft turf
i expect you
from our hidden places
like eagles on up high
evidenced in the glimmer in your eyes
the darkness
in may
where shall i find you
the ships are lying in the bay
by the rude bridge
do i like it
