elements of poetry

one sweetly solemn thought
the old west, the old time
at dawn, he said
truely
not from the whole wide world
under a spreading chestnut tree
is there anybody there
there was a strangeness on your lips
quietly, with reverance, in awe
have you seen walking through the village
in your flight
three days i heard them grieve when i lay dead
