i love you poem

sadly speaking
i am fevered
the saddest of the year
birds against the april wind
there's one that i once loved so much
in your flight
had he and i but met
listen
i've won the race
i saw with open eyes
she must go back, she said
one with you
glass-blower of time
sweet with fern and rose
