child poem

by the rude bridge
for truth, for love
brief on a flying night
beautiful, tragical faces
i've won the race
i saw the archangels in my apple-tree last night
in his guarded tent
she knows a cheap release
there is no escape by the river
i make my shroud, but no one knows
