sad poetry

a bird sang
i wonder where you live
at midnight
i see all human wits
could we but know
see, from this counterfeit of him
let a joy keep you
in september
out of me unworthy and unknown
he's gone
the light withdrawn
over the rooftops race the shadows of clouds
