grandma poem

my soul is a dark ploughed field
gingham dog and the calico cat
i saw him once before

this is the song of youth
have we no shame?
sweet and strong
we lay
i love the old melodious lays
in the sphere
the lightning flashed, and lifted
i have cast the world
