erotic poem

days endeared to every muse
i despise my friends more than you
we who stood
the poets tell
glooms of the live-oaks
in mournful numbers
i am singing to you
my mother twines me roses wet with dew
my true love from her pillow rose
are you awake?
which keeps
all those treasures that lie
