broken heart poem

beautiful, tragical faces
within this lowly grave a conqueror lies
come down at dawn from windless hills
a pen of steel
since, if you stood by my side today
do you remember
simply speaking
with the meek, brown eyes
now while my lips are living
these be
arched the flood
