fall poem

my mother twines me roses wet with dew
i fill this cup
arched the flood
once this soft turf
bring me soft song
for truth, for love
made up of loveliness alone
the arches of the red bridge
for then without
come down at dawn from windless hills
i shake my hair in the wind of morning
