Allison Strong had long ago memorized poet Sylvia Plath's visceral Fever 103 and was reciting it to enthusiastic reception at a state competition in New Jersey. In fact, the poem helped Strong win. Tuesday night, she'll be on stage among 12 finalists for the championship round of Poetry Out Loud, a contest that just might put poetry in the mainstream again.
