teacher poem

tell me
often is it not so?
have you heard
my mother taught me that every night
in halls of sleep you wandered by
renew the vision of delight
rising moon has hid the stars
there are three ways in which men take
perhaps
simplicity
grieve not for the invisible
all my love for my sweet
still thirteen years
