break up poem

let a joy keep you
there is no escape by the river
i stand in the cold gray weather
up and down he goes
the rain was over, and the brilliant air
have we no shame?
a storm is riding on the tide
with the sunset
gone before us
the endless, foolish merriment of stars
renew the vision of delight
