contemporary poetry

in the sphere
so fallen
those black eyes i once so praised
in and of itself
rose and amber was the sunset on the river
i think it just splendid
high-born race
afraid no more, i say
i am old and blind
up from the meadows rich with corn
musing, between the sunset and the dark
