life poetry

softly weeping
that year
i am fevered
where shall i find you
thou unrelenting past
here falls no light
up and down he goes
i think it just splendid
under the harvest moon
the meadow was creeping
mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam
one sweetly solemn thought
