teen poetry contest

under dusky laurel leaf
sweet splendor
i hold your heart
have you not heard
roses and gold
out of the sparkling sea
there is an hour of peaceful rest
to what shall a woman liken her beloved
so lost
if i should die, think only this of me
looking beyond
gone are the three, those sisters rare
