wedding poem

gloom
the darkness steals the forms of all the queens
he speaks not well
who is the runner in the skies
i was a goddess ere the marble found me
take my bracelets
with joy and wonder
with lips blood red and heart of stone
high walls and huge
better than granite
skies they were ashen and sober
