family poetry

a mile behind
i have had one fear in my life
as i lie roofed in, screened in
thoughts through my head
stern cold man
in his guarded tent
the poets tell
the swan existing
wrap the earth in cloudy weather
are you alive?
he came and took me by the hand
the fragrance came
this is the song of youth
could we but know
