dark poetry

for truth, for love
in new york harbor
he's gone
give me
in mournful numbers
why do you always stand there shivering
muffled drum's sad roll has beat
afraid no more, i say
the poets tell
all those treasures that lie
why so sad my lovely one?
tell me
there are gains for all our losses
