friendship poem

for then without
to what shall a woman liken her beloved
master of human destinies am i
mysterious night
up from the south at break of day
on and on
high walls and huge
when the veil from the eyes is lifted
noises that strive to tear
last midnight
all down the years
i bid them all farewell
