suicide poem

darkest, strangest mystery
i am old and blind
do the boys and girls still go
do i like it
who loves the rain
give me hunger
are you awake?
sleep sweetly in your humble graves
i have had one fear in my life
one sweetly solemn thought
from our hidden places
royal feast was done
have we no shame?
