elements of poetry

my soul goes clad in gorgeous things
the old west, the old time
death's nobility again
with her hair flaying wildly
long has the summer sunlight shone
under the harvest moon
some of the hurts you have cured
shades of night were falling fast
still her gray rocks tower above the sea
sweet with fern and rose
the snow whispers about me
he'd even have his joke
there are gains for all our losses
