haiku poetry

i despise my friends more than you
these be
i had over-prepared the event
the shadows of the ships
when i was a boy at college
through the broad earth's aching breast
she might have known it in the earlier spring
i never knew the earth had so much gold
let us pity those who are better off than we are
often is it not so?
have you not heard
star-dust and vaporous light
for i was a gaunt, grave councillor
the single clenched fist lifted and ready
