teen love poem

and still they walked on
sleep, gray brother of death
there by the window in the old house
the pale day drowses on the western steep
i heard the wind all day
how shall i help to right the world that is going wrong
it was the autumn of the year
when night drifts along the streets of the city
the ancient songs
do not grieve that it is over
she knows a cheap release
i am dying
